Music, Movies, and Books

I am really into techno and electronic music. It would be hard to tell which ones are my favourite because of all those different styles but i am really into Tale of Us, Bedouin, Solomun, Laurent Garnier, Modeslektor, Amelie Lens, Recondite, Mall Grab or Octave one ... and so many more !
I dont watch a lot of movie, i am more into bingewatching series... the man in the high castle, westworld, breaking bad, the handmaid's tale ...
And from far, my favorite book is "La Horde du Contrevent" from Alain Damasio !

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived during a semester in Bucharest, it was amazing !

The place i won't miss about Brussels :
Place Poelart : It's at the end of Avenue Louise, it's where you can find the Justice Palace and one of the beautifulest view of Brussels ! If you take the big elevator (or the stairs, as you prefer, but i think it's always funny to take the elevator), you'll arrive in the most brusselian part of brussels called Les Marolles.
Place du jeu de balles : It s a place in the Marolles and you have a flee market there every day until 2pm, a lot of great bars around too. I really like having a beer at the Chaff when I am there. You also have a lot of Antiquary shops
From there, cross all the small typical streets of brussels to join the city center. The Grand Place is quite amazing, especially at night :)
After that, if you want to have a nice walk until the North part of brussels, go to Place Sainte Catherine ! Stop by Halles Saint Gery before to have a drink there, and than go to the Canal of Brussels in the North, and if you have time and sun, go and enjoy the terrace of Kumiko.
In the City centrum, you also have the Galleries Royales Sainte Hubert : You have to have a walk there, it's so great, and it's linked to a lot of small streets in the real old part of brussels. If you want to try a typical place, try to find Toone Theater or La Bécasse, and try some Geuze (it s a beer). Also in the same neighbourhood, don't hesitate to go to Delirium Café, they have so many beers to try, and of course having just in front of Delirium Café, a shot of absinthe in Floris Bar. If you go further in this non end streed, you'll find a small Statue of Jeanekepis !
Mannekenpis: without no doubt one of the most touristic place in brussels, but you have to go there to see our symbol : a small boy peing, that's really funny when you think about that

You have to have a walk of course in the city centrum from Parc Royal to Grand Place. The walk is worth it, you'll see the King's place, really nice places, stop by The MIM and have a drink or a lunch on the rooftop. Go by Mont des Arts, before going to Grand Place or to Galleries Saint Hubert.

South Brussels
Abbaye de la Cambre --> really a nice parc to have a walk, especially on a sunny sunday to have a lunch there after buying food at Place Flagey's Sunday Market.
Place du Luxembourg : it's the european neighbourhood just near the famous European parliament. It' s possible to visit all the instutions. It's also a really fancy place on Thursday evenings for afterwork, if you want to meet expats and having drinks. I advise you to go to Café Le Luxembourg. And if you want to eat, the Be Burger restaurant is really nice and affordable. Especially on monday, you buy one burger and after you can choose all you can eat for the same price !

Le Cinquantenaire : One of my favourite parc in brussels just behind the European neighbourhood. We have there our kind of Arc de Triomphe, it's really beautiful.

If you want to try food, of course try * Belgian Waffles. * Belgian Fries (my favourite ones are from the small Fries shop in Place Flagey but the one at the corner near the Central Station is great too). Boulets Liegeois (it's meat balls with some sweet sauce, really great. In the city centrum near the Grand Place, you have a place called Balls and Glory where meat balls are amazing, and you can choose a lot of different sauce with it). Stoemp (it's mashed potatoes with vegetables usually served with sausages). Mossels (served with fries, amazing ! ) etc etc.
If you want to try some different beers in a smaller place, i advice you to go in Amere a Boire in Place Flagey !
If you have more time, don't hesitate to go to see the Atomium, you can see it from the view in Place Poelart, but it's always better to have a closer look. It's far from city centrum and there are not a lot of things to do in this area except the Atomium itself.
I think i said already a lot, hope you'll enjoy your stay in Brussels, let me know if you need more information !
