About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To travel across Europe this summer, experience different cultures, not spend too much and get home alright!
ABOUT ME
I grew up in Rotorua, New Zealand. I´m a hometown girl at heart, but I do also love to travel. I like to think of myself as adventurous - I love the outdoors - especially exploring hot pools at home. I try to go tramping & camping occasionally, like to play games - boardgames, or night games like spotlight, not sporty ones that actually involve skill...
PHILOSOPHY
Don´t work too hard, spend time enjoying yourself.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Only one so far, but hopefully that will change in the next few months!
Interests
Running - recently completed my first half marathon, so pretty happy about that! Just taken up mountain biking the past year. Snowboarding as of last year too, and after years of hating winter, I have now found something to make it great.
Hot pools - one of my aims in life is to go to hot pools all over the world.
Cooking and eating - trying to improve my cooking skills because I love eating so much!

Music, Movies, and Books
I love so many artists, mostly of the neo soul genre: Musiq, Fred Hammond, Commissioned, Deitrick Haddon, Brian McKnight, Eric Benet, Stevie Wonder, Joe, India Arie, Angie Stone, D'Angelo, Tyrese, Ruben Studdard, NZ music - Che Fu, Bic Runga, Brooke Fraser, Chong Nee, Aaradhna, Adeaze, NZ dub - Fat Freddy´s Drop, The Black Seeds.
Books - there are so many classics that I would like to read but I guess when I´ve got time...my favourites are Talk to the Hand - the Utter Bloody Rudeness of Everyday Life, Growing up Maori, Hot Springs of NZ.
Teach, Learn, Share
I like these sorts of quotes in a world where it seems everyone thinks they know so much: "Our knowledge is a little island in a great ocean of non-knowledge” & "The larger the island of knowledge, the longer the shoreline of wonder.”
My other favourite quote is "the best way to make a decision is to think, when I am 87 years old, will I be glad I did that?" I'm trying to live my life like this at the moment...
