Overview
About Me
Hi! I'm Ray. I'm a Dutch applied psychology student, currently living in Groningen, the Netherlands. I grew up in a small village in the Netherlands and ended up living not too far away. (; I enjoy biking, the beach, a cold beer, cooking and meeting new people.
I’m very passionate about my studies and can talk hours about human behavior, the brain and how it shapes our world.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m excited to meet new people and challenge my perceptions about the world we live in. I would love to see some more places around the world and to have a taste of the real atmosphere of a place instead of walking around like a tourist. I hope to share the hospitality I have experienced myself with other travelers as well. I always enjoy spontaneous meet ups and visitors.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I spent the week of my 18th birthday on my own in London. I had never been on a solo-trip before and was super nervous. At the end I was so glad that I took the leap and got a hold of some good stories to tell.
With the living group I lived with, we set up a weekly community kitchen in 2021, that’s still running (almost) every week. We cook for around 50 people each week and also provide food for demonstrations sometimes.
