hi y'all!

i'm a student majoring in american studies in groningen. my interests are pretty broad, but some that stand out include politics, history, culture, sustainability and development issues. i have a pretty chill and laid back personality, as i love to meet new people but also have no trouble being on my own.

i would love to learn more about the local culture of new places and share experiences, so the social element of couchsurfing is very important to me. however, of course i respect people's schedules and I can perfectly be on my own if needed.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

i am pretty new to couchsurfing because so far i've mostly stayed in hostels while traveling. while i love the spontaneous meet-ups in hostels, i sometimes feel like i am missing out on some local culture because i'm always hanging out with other travelers. i would really love to experience more of what it is really like to live in a place and connect with people who can tell me all about it. and of course, i also love to share my own experiences.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

i mostly read nonfiction about issues that have to do with human rights or culture, but i also love novels and travel stories. right now i'm reading "bananas, beaches, and bases: how to make feminist sense of international politics" and i definitely recommend it!

i listen to a lot of different music, but in general anything with a bit of an 80s sound will do :)
