About Me

Hello! I'm a Canadian (French is my first language) who studies math in Montreal. I enjoy listening to cool people and cool music, reading cool books and walking in cool places. Basically, discovering new territories is my favorite activity. I got a sick DSLR camera that I don't know how to use very well, but I like taking pictures so hopefully I will get better at it. I'm indifferent to logic and rational thinking; creative intuition is where it's at! If you think that's in contradiction with me liking math, then we need to talk. When I grow up, I want to become a math teacher. I enjoy meditation a lot (not super good at it yet). I almost forgot: summer is the best season -- you can't prove me wrong.

I'm currently abroad for an exchange semester in Czech Republic.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It seems like a great way for a more introverted person like myself to step out of his comfort zone, meet local people and get more interesting experiences than with the usual "book a AirBnB" way of doing things. It's also nice for the wallet. The whole idea of couch surfing is really great and this website seems to organize that idea well.

Music, Movies, and Books

Let's start with the basic big boys: Bach, Beethoven, Chopin. I don't know much about classical music except that piano pieces by these guys absolutely rock. Otherwise I really like Steve Reich, Dave Brubeck, Pat Metheny. I listened to a lot of Gorillaz when I was younger. But really I will give anything interesting a listen (yes, even crazy noise music).

My favorite books are a secret.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once screamed for fifteen hours straight into my pillow.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm eager to learn anything about art or literature or anything at all. Also, I'm always delighted to share some interesting math knowledge I have. Some people would say it's one of my worse traits. I can also teach some French (although not the France version) as it's my main language.
