About Me

I'm quite young for my age and look older than I'm young. :D
Recently i returned from an amazing hitchhiking trip all the way down to Madrid and wrote a blog about it: www.mywaytopanama.wordpress.com

At the moment I'm looking for my way in life, therefore I'm curious to get to know all the different countries, cultures, people, ideas and attitudes around the world! I would like to meet all kinds of people and learn from them.

Languages are for me one of the keys for this goal and I'm trying to learn them one after another :)
As Nelson Mandela said:
"If you talk to a man in a language he understands, that goes to his head. If you talk to him in his language, that goes to his heart."

Now.. I study arabic (andd business)! :D

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love the idea and concept of Couchsurfing for numerous reasons:

People supporting each other regardless of their origin, nationality, beliefs, .... is simply a great thing, that I really want to take part in and also support.

With Couchsurfing you get to know amazing people from other cultures directly and can exchange about interesting experiences from all over the world, which makes getting hosted not only a goal but also a part of the big journey

In contrary to booking a hotel, you also have instant contact with a local person, that can help you to find the most interesting and coolest spots in the town.

Interests

My hobbies are mostly sports and reading books. I started to write a little poem or story here and there and draw a sketch each day, just because I learned to appreciate art from my friends.

Regardless of school tasks and exams and didn't invest too much time in that.
I played soccer, went to boxing and parcour training and standard plus hip-hop dance. Earlier I also played tennis, speed- and badminton, table tennis, volleyball and some basketball.
My favorite books were fantasy and sci-fi, which now shifted more to politic and informative books and or newspapers (online ;) ).

Music, Movies, and Books

Before my year abroad I almost solely listened to Hip-Hop music, which fascinated me because of the high importance of the words and their lyrical and rhetorical aspects.

Since I moved to Lithuania for my EVS I get to know the music that my friends from Europe liked and also the music that is famous in the local community.

Now I really like Jazz music, the rock classics or 80s + 90s like Queen, R.E.M., DireStraits, DepecheMode, ...
Or also different artists like Don Johnson Big Band, Clams Casino, Son Lux or n u a g e s.
One of my favorite songs at the moment are "Easy" (Son lux) or "Closer" (nuages).
And EMINEM rocks! :D

MOVIES
Phew! There are so so many amazing movies that are worth watching. Recently I discovered an interest for animated movies (many Japanese ones) and (semi-)documentaries.
I always loved Wall-E and Ice Age as a child and I couldn't resist watching a good action movie with my dad, disregarding if or if not it had a good story.
There still a long lists of movies that I'll watch, please also share your favorites with me :)

Siddhartha of Herrmann Hesse is a great book, bringing some amazing
Then there are the two books "The Religions Book" and "The Politics Book" which I plan to read afterwards.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hard to name decide for only one, I'll give you two to choose of.

With my parcour friends on the rooftop of an abandoned factory, watching the cites skyline from sunset and until a sky full of stars.

Holding the graduation speech with my friend in front of all my school mates, teachers and parents, recapping memories and experiences closing that amazing chapter of the book of our life.

Teach, Learn, Share

I don't consider myself smart or grown-up enough to be able to teach others about life or much else.

But I'd love to share the thoughts and ideas of others, that really got to me.

"Everyone has a good story. Everyone has something to teach me." Theron Humphrey (thiswildidea.com)

"Why do we have to die to got to heaven? The earth is already in space." Prince Ea

I'm sure you know about that network already, but if not definitely check out "TEDtalks" and find out about the ideas of others on any kind of topic. I enjoy it a lot and it can really give you something.

What I Can Share with Hosts

People told me I can cook quite good, but in reality I'm just copying recipes. Well it's true that I enjoy it though. :)
I love to share and exchange about languages and help others with it however I can.
I can share my experience from living in to fairly different countries (Germany, Lithuania) and having lived together with Spanish for over 7 month!

I can dance a little and I like to have talks about any topic whatsoever, because I can always learn from anybody.
