About Me

Hi, I'm Marc, a German-Hungarian based in Budapest.

I make a living convincing computers to do things, but often I just end up confusing them until I figure out what went wrong. This is why people tend to call me a "programmer" but it doesn’t sound nearly as interesting put that way. Despite the boring name this job is a lot of fun.

An assorted collection of random facts about me:
- I'm an extroverted introvert: love meeting people but also need time to recharge.
- I like all sorts of games (board games, card games, volleyball, etc). I'm also terrible at most.
- I have an inborn incapacity to have small talk but in my work it's basically a requirement. So please let's talk about deep and interesting things and laugh a lot (I’m not very funny though so you’ll have to be the one telling the jokes).
- Topics that get me super fired up: most kinds of art, computers, cooking, whisky, jazz, architecture...

BEFORE WRITING A REQUEST: please head over to the "my home" section and read the house rules there. Thank you.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

1) Love having over guests and sharing

2) Love meeting new people, especially from varied backgrounds and different cultures.

3) I get to rediscover my city through my guests' eyes. It feels a little bit like I’m traveling with them.

4) It's cheap (when traveling)

5) It motivates me to clean my flat.
