ABOUT ME
Really all? well, at least some facts about me. After studying history in Bielefeld until 1999, my "prince" was born. In the following years I took care of raising my son. I'm adding a second education to become teacher for German and History on a gymnasium (academic high school).
I have an interest for writing my own fiction, some sort of SF, also youth stories or plain weird stuff. I've been drawing a lot when I was younger, and try to do so once in a while, with little success.
PHILOSOPHY
A philosophy? Me!? Well... That's a tough one. To live my life taught me that there's only one chance to find out what life's got to offer. It a while to find out about this simple insight, and I hope I learned my lessons well. Furthermore, being open minded and welcome new possibilities, only realising them. Cause there are so many of them. Where I closed my eyes back then, I do not only look closer, but also take the chance. That's what I'm here for.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Since I'm new to this community, I don't know yet how to participate. I'd like to host people as well, but since I'm living in a flat share and only have a double bed, it might feel strange sleeping right next to me. But I offer a coffee/ tea + a little sightseeing to anyone who likes to visit Konstanz.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Briefly: None.
Interests
My interests are quite diverse and always growing the longer I live. Arts in a lot of forms are part of them, like film/ movies, music, paintings, comics, fotografy etc. Doesn't mean I know a lot about it, though.
I'm primarily interested in medieval history, especially manuscripts and medieval city life (no, LARP ain't my cup of tea). I'm also interested in computers and software, especially with regard to open-source and security issues ("social networks", biometrics and so on). Also I'm bothered with the question of "digital enlightenment" regarding the potential dangers of the internet for young and old; I'm not really skilled enough of doing this job, but consider it very importing for coming generations of "digital natives" and those who have to cope with this matter in older ages.
