Hey there!

Jessi and I (both 32, Jessi is from Guatemala and I am French-Iranian born in Germany) have started a longer backpacking trip in Summer 2023 after the company we've been working for went bust.

Instead of rushing through 27 countries in 12 months we have planned a different kind of trip:
Our goal is to mostly hang out with locals, avoiding big crowds and party hostels.
We want to dive into local cultures, get to know its people and cuisine, and - if possible - support local communities via volunteering projects or similar.

We both love nature and its calmness and love to explore mountains, the sea and animals no matter the size. We appreciate the easy life with no frills and need very little to be happy.

Back home we've been working either in the social or sustainability domain: Jessi is an expert in all things related to human interaction, society and feminist movements. Marc has worked in electric mobility and founded his own company.

Next to work, we have a passion for manual work (Jessi sews, does pottery and paints) and sports (Marc enjoys running, biking, football and basically any kind of other sport) and we both love cooking. In addition to that, Marc loves photography and filmmaking and always carries his drone with him - happy to take some shots for you!

Having a multi cultural background ourselves, we have traveled to many places on all continents and also lived in many countries all over the world.
Marc has had some great couchsurfing experiences (New Zealand and Israel) in the past and also every private Airbnb host we had in the past was very happy with us - we're calm, clean and outgoing with a lot of interest in the local people.

Our 2023-2024 travel will focus on South East Asia but our list is long. And as we don't know for how long we'll be traveling, we might eventually end up in East Africa at some point :-)

Either way, we're super excited to getting to know people from all over the world, sharing stories, food and laughs!
