Overview
About Me
I’m not close to downtown or a bus route (2 miles away) so YOU’LL WANT A CAR! I work at The University of Texas at Austin and enjoy many outdoor activities in and around the city like the hike and bike trail and Barton Springs. I've worked as a whitewater guide, ski instructor and reporter but I've been in marketing/multimedia production/film/photography in higher ed for a few years now. Even though I've also lived in Colorado, I'm originally from Austin.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like meeting new and interesting people and showing them around. Also, it'd be cool to connect with people from elsewhere so I have a place to stay when I visit their homeland. Lodging is expensive so the less I spend on it, the more trips I can take.
Interests
Rivers, fishing, comedy, happy hour, film, stories, hiking, college football, reading, enjoying water and learning/experiencing new things all the time. I love to travel (duh).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I just finished my fourth degree with an MBA. Considering I once thought of dropping out of school, I'm impressed at the difference in approach!
Teach, Learn, Share
I love Austin and nearby San Marcos. There is always a ton going on and many options for the outdoors or at festivals to keep busy.
What I Can Share with Hosts
