I'm 34 and I'm currently in Berlin until the beginning of June. For the record I'm gay and I'm looking to host gay people and be hosted by gay people. Whatever the reasons, it is still difficult for many LGBT people to be able to travel safely and to find secure accommodations. I'll be happy to help and to benefit from the same generosity from other hosts.

This being said I have to be very specific about the way I live and the kind of people I'd like to meet. If partying is your number one priority (and if you drink cheap beer and cheap liquors), I don't think we can be a good match.
Among the things I like in others:
- a taste for beautiful things
- a sense of humour and sarcasm
- a strong interest for culture and museums
- a real interest for good food and good wines
- a genuine desire to meet new people and to interact with them
- an ability to communicate without forcing yourself
- no fear of boredom and silence
- a high level of expectation, education and politeness.

If you're a soccer fan, or generally speaking very fond of sports that can be played in stadiums with hysterical supporters and cheap beer, I don't think we're the right match either.

If you do drugs, listen to house music and wonder where the closest gym is, I won't be able to help much.

I usually prefer hosting men and being hosted by men. It's generally easier. No offence, ladies. And it's always time to prove me wrong.

So far I have always made friends with people who share the same values. I guess people usually attract the kind of people they are themselves.
