ABOUT ME

We are Marc & Mona, we like 2 travel. We're very social and enthousiastic. We like to meet other people and we're having a baby on the 31st of August this year! :)16 November 2010 we left Belgium for a trip around the world during 8 months. We went from Belgium to South Africa, Oman, India, Australia, New Zeeland, Hawaii, North America, Mexico, Chili, Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil and then we came back... But not for long ;) 12 November 2011 we left again, this time to New Zealand to travel for 2 months, after that period we went to Australia and work/travel for a year! And after that South-East-Asia and Europe!We got married on the beautiful island of Hawaii 11th of Marc 2011. We got a pagan ritual that was arranged by the best Couchsurf-host ever: BOB! You can find a picture on our profile!We like to laugh, go out, eat nice food, go to festivals! We love animals and nature! We like music a lot, the whole day we listen to music, Marc is a producer ( Techno / Acid) and a DJ so we listen a lot of electronic music too, and we love festivals because of the rock-shows.Marc is a designer, I worked as a nanny in a daycare for people with a handicap. Now we are searching our place in this crazy world, do we want to live back in Belgium? Or is there a spot for us in Bolivia, Australia or maybe even Colombia? Lets find that out :)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We have a 2 persons matras and blankets, sheets, pillows and towels. You only need to bring in yourself and your CS-experiences!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

When we were in Spain, we got welcomed on a very warm way. We went out for dinner and the next day we bought ingredients for a nice dinner and the next morning we got some nice pancakes... It's all about giving and taking... You give a warm couch, you get a nice dinner, you give a nice place to stay for a few days, you get some presents & nice food :) CS'ing is really great! Also for making good friends! We allready miss them! We CS'ed in South-Africa, Oman, Australia, NewZealand, Hawaii, USA, Philipines, Singapore, Turkey... Bob Lee arranged our wedding in Hawaii (the day after the tsunami...)!!! Thank you BOB!!! CS in USA, Chile & Brazil!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Rafting in Bali, walking in the jungle in Lombok, Marc asked me to marry him in Bali!, riding down the whole coastline of Croatia, couchsurfing in Spain, Linkin Park concert in Germany: 1,5metres from my hero Chester Bennington looking right into my eyes ... Cuddling with lioncubs (10 weeks old) and patting a teenage lion in South Africa, driving around Kruger Park and have eyecontact with beautiful animals, meeting Omani people, snorkeling in the Great Barrier Reef, flying over the most beautifull island of Hawaii; Kauai, getting married in Hilo, Hawaii... National parks in USA, Route 66 roadtripping with loud rockmusic in the car, EVERYTHING IN BOLIVIA, South Island wandering New Zealand (our planet is just gorgeous!), Uluru sunset in Australia! Elephant training camp in Thailand, Temple hopping in Myanmar, West Coast Australia feeding doplhins, cooking class in Thailand, Bulgarian nighttrains!

I gave cookinglessons for 2 years, every day 2 different recipes! So if you want, I can teach/make you something delicious. We cook a lot here!
