About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To sleep in as many airports as possible

ABOUT ME

Im quite an independent person as growing up, my parents were in the military and we moved around a lot. I was never in the same city for longer than 3 years. Im one of few people who have seen my own country.
After graduating, I started travelling - mostly on my own. I have always been interested in geography and wanted to see the world - so much to learn about every country: the way architecture, art, cultures, food, and ways of thinking shifts from country to country. How can one ever actually see everything!?

I enjoy my privacy, but like the company of others as well. I have a very "indecisive-yet-spontaneous" mind.
I usually have a smile on my face and can even be caught laughing to myself in public (thinking of something funny, you know).
I can also be found outdoors doing some sort of physical activity, but at the same time, I like to let to stay indoors (especially on rainy days) and do puzzles, crosswords, sudokus - Board games are fun too!

Im a coffee-holic.

Gay.

I have a new love for sleeping in airports - I dont know how this manifested, it just has.

----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

While travelling New Zealand, someone told me their experience with couchsurfing and suggested doing it - I had not known about it until then. While travelling, I will continue to surf as much as possible and when I have my own place (and have time), I will happily host travellers!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Ive been fortunate enough to have really great hosts when spending some time in a city. However, I met some cool people just for the evenings while in a city for a short period of time as well as keeping in touch with people just over the computer.

I haven't been able to host for the past 1.5 years, but I am always up to meet travellers and show them around the city when requested!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Skydiving. Although the typical thought when one hears 'skydiving' is "I would be too scared to do that" I would URGE someone to skydive at least once in their life. Even though when you sit out the door of the plane and you can feel the wind blowing your legs, as soon as you are out of the plane it is as if you are not even moving. What better way to see the world than freefalling from 15000ft in the air?

I think in each country, Ive done or seen something amazing and sometimes its the little things found/seen in a country that make it that extra special:
New Zealand - Skydiving in Taupo and Zorbing in Rotorua. The scenery is breath-taking.
Vanuatu - Snorkeling at Hideaway Island and climbing up Cascade Falls
Australia - Sleeping in a swag in the Outback under a blanket of stars and celebrating Christmas and New Years in Perth. First HOT holiday season...
Malaysia - Partaking in the Thaipatsum tradition at the Batu Caves near Kuala Lumpur
Singapore - Push scooter Tour through the city; so neat! Architecture...Wow!
Thailand - Walking around the Grand Palace and all the tuk-tuk rides
Laos - Tubing down the Mekong River in Vang Vieng and biking through Vientiane. The friendliness of the people.
Vietnam - Taking a junk boat tour through Halong Bay, learning the history of Vietnam in Ho Chi Minh City
Cambodia - Angkor Park, need I say more?

Teach, Learn, Share

However random it may be but I can teach you what airports are good for sleeping in (in the countries that Ive been too) if you are on a tight budget while travelling.

Id like to learn the art of Feng Shui...
and how to cook as I am terrible. When I do know how to make something good, I constantly make it until I get sick of it. Need some variety.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Austria, Cambodia, Canada, Cook Islands, Costa Rica, Germany, Hungary, Japan, Laos, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Seychelles, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Thailand, United States, Vanuatu, Viet Nam
