About Me

Let's make our time worth living

Currently doing my Medicine residency in anesthesics in Barcelona. Since I started university the desire of traveling has been growing inside me. I start traveling solo when I was 18 years old and the travel bug haven't abandoned me since then.

I wasn’t convinced about what I was doing with my life. I worked hard to get into university but once there I started wondering if that was enough to make me happy. As I was hesitating I decided to continue with my studies but at the same time start saving money in order to travel for a long term. I thought that a year abroad would open my mind, help me to know myself better, discover different ways of living, and sea if the path I choose a few years ago was really what I wanted to do.

I jumped out of university and went traveling for a couple of years. This showed me a diferent approach of life. I learned different ways of living which showed me the value of the things I left behind. So I went back to Barcelona to finish my medicine degree and start working as a doctor.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

CS is amazing; you know it as soon as you have your first experience. It's so easy to get hooked at it... it implies meeting locals and expats, having the chance to know the place by first hand, getting tips to get out of the path, finding amazing food and places, avoid getting ripped by tour operators and on top of that you save or make others save money

I've been living in my grandma house for the past 13 years, thats the main reason why I could not hosted people before, but as soon as I get back home my place will have a nice couch to fit anyone!

Since the past years CS has become a tinder2.0. Lets not use this platform as a hooking up website. Let me be suspicious if you are a boy and you only host girls

Interests

Since I made it out of Barcelona I've been a couple months surfing and traveling with a scooter trough Java, Bali and Lombok. After that, and totally random I got in touch with the sailing boat Karaka, a floating community, and got a place as a crew in Micronesia. With it we have traveled trough Micronesia, Papua New Guinea and the Philipines . We've sailed into the wild to the most remote and desert atolls along 5000 miles. here you can check some of the adventures we have been trough!

- Elato and Sorol Atoll: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B_rEIS1ooE8

In my youtube account you will find more videos of the adventures i've been trough this and previous years!

As personal interest I love outdoor sports (not the typical doctor I guess). Skiing, snowboarding, surfing, freediving and sailing are my passions. I adore water in all it's states, and I like to spend more time in the water than out of it!

I also like anything that has to do with boards, balance, and that feeling of ungravity that pops up each time you lift your feet out of the ground. Longboarding, slackline, climbing, cliff jumping and trampoline are in the list of things I reaaaaly enjoy.

Of course, beer, food and good cinema are a MUST in my live!

I'm that friend that always try to pull crazy plans after a couple of beers, and so far so good; I've done some crazy shit.

Philosophy: "GET LOST. If you mess it up, you will have one more story to tell, and if you are lucky enough, maybe you will find yourself"

Music, Movies, and Books

I love reading, specially writers with a philosophical background such as Herman Hess, Milan Kundera, Paul Auster and Krishnamurti.

Even though my favourite book is and will be "the little prince"

I love cinema and documentaries. In my list of must's you will find things such Pulp Fiction, rocknrolla, Snatch, The man from earth, Mr. Nobody, the intouchables, Kill Bill, I Origins, Inception, The salt from earth, The act of killing, North of the sun, Whores glory and many more.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There's always something bigger to go for, but surviving one week in a deserted island in a remote atoll of the pacific with only a speargun, a hammock and a machete is in the top of the list.

holding my breath underwater for 4:52 min, been to one of the most remotes islands in the pacific, living 2 months without no connection with the outside world (not even with a radio), spend 10 days sailing without seeing land and provide our own meals for 5 months using only a rod and a speargun :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I love teaching! As a divemaster and ski and snowboard instructor I can teach you how to do such things, but a lot of stars have to line up (suche decent place, wether, and fancy gear that you don't normally travel with) in order for that to happen (but where there's a will there's a way eh!)

I can also teach you freediving (way more accesible) and hang up for surfing lessons. We can go to do SUP (Stand Up Paddle) together and teach you all i know about the sea and marine life.

I've been sailing all my life, we have a sail boat back home and I would be pleased to take you out for a nice sailing day!

I am a good cook, and even a better bar tender, so good food accompanied with nice drinks are more than guaranteed.

What I Can Share with Hosts

good stories, nice food and laughs will be on the daily menu.
