Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

After some foreign adventures - studying in Wales (Erasmus), working in the Balkan (i.e. Kosovo) and the last three years (2008-2011) I was working and living in Eastern Africa as a business consultant/trainer and later as a communication/attitude trainer and coach - I am back home! Although I had an amazing time, especially in Africa, it was time for a new phase - therefore I came back to Amsterdam (Holland). For five years now and I enjoying it. I am now a trainer in meditation and carreer development and a life coach. Recently i started my own business, exciting and scary.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

It is new for me...

Music, Movies, and Books

Some books: What is the What, long walk of freedom, Marco Polo, Game of thrones, Altruïsme the power of compassion (Matthieu Ricard) & several books of the Dalai Lama. Movies/series: eternal sunshine in the spotless mind, fight club, gladiator, inbetweeners, the pacific and soprano's. Interstellar!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1. The Serengeti in Tanzania (2009) - amazing these long stretches of land with half a million wildebeest, zebra's and other animals on it. Amazing.
2. The unexplored and distant south of Ethiopia - with a special moment when in the early morning dozens of mountain villagers were bringing (on their donkeys) bamboo from the hills to the local market.
3. Explored Iceland (2014) with two friends and it was an uniquely wild and open and beautiful landscapes!
4. The surprise catch is Cappadocia, that such an unique place and people are amazingly friendly and helpful.
