My name is Marcel, 32 years of age, living in an apartment on the top floor in Utrecht. Utrecht is a city in the center of the Netherlands, to me very similar to Amsterdam but minus the heavy tourism. We've got canals too, pubs, bars, discotheques, history, mills, bikes, students and what more... The best part is that almost everything within the Netherlands is just within an hour of reach (Amsterdam 20 minutes). I work parttime just so that I can enjoy my life as much as I do work. This way I have more time for my friends, family and... you :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've had my fair share of traveling and am still ongoing... people I meet during my travel are different than those back home. It's always more relaxing, without worries and full of joy. Why not to help out another traveler and benefit from their state-of-mind?

Interests

Besides traveling my interests are very broad. Playing guitar, riding my motorbike, meeting friends, doing some extreme sports, going for a bbq in the park... All of these are mostly quite spontaneous but there is one thing that I love to do on a regular basis and that is to go and dance latin dances like zouk, salsa, bachata, kizomba, etc. Loving the music, the vibe, the people.
