About Me

A simple guy from Slovakia, who you'll have a hard time seeing without his bike. Strongly introverted but a huge people-lover, trying to lead a minimalistic life, to simplify every little thing and focus only on the important values. I'm trying to stay positive in every situation, sometimes it may seem I live in my own ideal world... but it works out rather well for myself and people around me I guess. :)

Currently I'm happy to welcome couchsurfers in Brno (Czech republic), where I live in a big student's house. It's a very calm street on a hill just next to the city centre.

Over the past three years I've done a lot of traveling by bicycle - almost all of Europe and my last trip was from Spain to West Africa.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To keep learning through experience (as it's the best way), meet people I had no idea existed and of course share at least the little I have to offer.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music:
Tom Waits, Einsturzende Neubauten, PJ Harvey, King Crimson, Frank Zappa, Jethro Tull, David Bowie, Jeff Buckley, Talking Heads, Radiohead, St. Vincent, The Dresden Dolls, Andrew Bird, Feist, Nick Cave, Steve Albini, Mike Patton, Father John Misty and many many others... Bit of jazz too if I'm in the mood.

Books:
So many books, so little time, just my to-read list could take up a whole book by itself. But I still can find some to re-read some favourites by Douglas Adams, Kurt Vonnegut, Margaret Atwood ... And "Walden" by Henry David Thoreau.

Movies:
After being a long time on the road, my habit of movie watching had disappeared completely. But I'm still a huge fan of David Lynch, the Coen brothers... Used to watch some series too, Twin Peaks and Arrested Development on top of everything.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Finally chose to follow my dream to travel the world and let it influence every single decision I face.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share some tips on how to survive and enjoy being on the road with little to no money. Or how to learn new languages real fast and easy. I also spent a few years actively playing the guitar and then let it go... May as well pass on some knowledge to others, teach some basics at least. And if you have a bike, I'd be happy to do some maintenance or repairs, got most of the tools with me.
