About Me

Hi there!

To study social sciences such as sociology, anthropology, linguistics and philosophy is something I find really pleasant and intriguing.
I have been working as a private tutor for children with special needs and learning difficulties in my hometown, Brasilia, and plan to further my studies now that I got a degree in Psychology.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm really fond of the idea of getting to know locals and their thoughts on society in general. I like to share life experiences and listen to what people have to say about the reality they live in and couchsurfing is the best way to achieve that kind of interaction.

Me and my special other had two amazing hosts in Germany who were great inspirations to me. Couchsurfing is now my favorite way to actually get to know the city I'm visiting and I hope I can contribute to this network by sharing what I know.

Interests

I'm passionate about Brazil's natural wonders and intricate history. We have an incredibly diverse fauna and flora so it's really nice to hike and camp around here. Hope I can share tips for those who are interested in visiting my country and learning a thing or two about its wonderful biomes.

Besides traveling locally, I have had the opportunity to visit many different countries with Johnny Barbosa, my lovable companion. We went to Europe on my first international trip on december 2013 and we didn't stop traveling ever since.

We both graduated in 2018 and decided to come to Europe in the beginning of April 2019 for a much deserved break. We'll be staying until the middle of June and then we are moving to Washington DC. We'll be moving from the capital of Brazil to the capital of the United States which is kind of funny when you think about it.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have a lot to share on brazilian's culture, natural wonders, politics and biodiversity.
Trekking, hiking and mountaineering are some of the things I appreciate the most when I'm traveling, so I hope I can share precious knowledge on the routes I know and listen to the advice of other experienced hikers.

Me and Johnny have been living together for a few years and one of our favorite weekend activities is to have friends over to share delicious meals. Hope we can have some culinary exchanges with our future hosts :)
