Heya!

I'm Marcela from Mexico City, I left home 5 years ago to go on an adventure and here I am! I am currently studying my degree in Ireland in German and French Studies. I like sports, cinema, I am a foodie, I enjoy dogs' company and of course find travelling very enriching and exciting! I am very clean, tidy and organised, I consider myself very friendly and outgoing, find very interesting to know more about other cultures and obviously I love to teach others about mine.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

a friend of mine from Turkey named Funda told me about CouchSurfing back in 2011 and I was pretty interested but I didn't really get the chance to do it. I am starting a new adventure this year so maybe couchsurfing is on the plans!
Have done it couple of times and it has been really eyes opening how kind people can be but unfortunately I know it is very difficult to be hosted as it happened to myself that I sent a thousand emails and 99% declined -_-

Interests

As you can see, I find languages fascinating. I enjoy learning about other people's culture and ways of living. Absolutely dog lover, chocolate addict and sports enthusiast.

Music, Movies, and Books

Always singing although I am a really bad singer, much more prefer the radio than telly. In Mexico I go to the cinema at least once a week, hate being on a student budget because cinema is so expensive in Europe! :( my now Irish self loves going to pubs bars and also nightclubs. Whiskey on the rocks is my favourite <3

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing has happened to me is visit several countries around Europe like France, Germany, Netherlands, Austrie, Belgium among others. (I wrote this on 2011, incredible how life changes!)
