ABOUT US

We are both from the north of germany but live in Berlin at the moment.
In 2015 we travelled South Africa for three months, which was an amazing experience and we had a wonderful time together.
We enjoyed living together in a tent and traveling in a small car whenever and wherever we wish to.
We love to meet new people and share stories and experiences. On our journey we met a lot of different people and with some of them we shared more than just a quick talk and some of them even became good friends that value each other.
In South Africa we preferred staying at quiet places and fled from the party backpackers. We enjoy having a beer or two, but love a good quiet sleep at night.
So whether you are our host or we crash your place we will respect each others place and try to have a really good time.
Usually these profiles are not meant for couples, but this is who we are.
Marcel, 26, loves photography, rock climbing and being outside, just finished his studies in renewable energies and energy efficiency and is looking for a job in Berlin. He speaks German, English, French and is learning Swedish.
Catarina, 27, loves reading, her two sisters, being at the sea and Marcel. She studies European Studies and works at an International Office. Her language skills apart from German, English and French are fluent Danish and Swedish.

PHILOSOPHY

Getting to know the world, means getting to know other cultures and by this people would understand much better, what is actually going on out there.
Sharing experiences while traveling can be fun and inspiring!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to travel and I want to make it possible for others to travel as free as they can, sleep where they want an get to know the world!
Its a wonderful idea to be at home anywhere you go.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Although it was difficult to get a couch, my sister and I managed to sleep at a couch in ROME for 3 nights! Throughout a good experience! ^^

Summer 2012 we hosted a lot of documenta-visiting couchsurfers at our flat in Kassel and we enjoyed it everytime. It was nice to meet different people and have a chat about this and that.

Interests

Marcel: Photography is my favourite activity. I constantly try to improve my skills!
I love to do rock climbing and bouldering. Especially when I can enjoy the nature around me while doing this sport!
