Hiii,
my name is Marcella, I'm 24 years old and even though I'm studying something related to nature conservation, I love traveling and getting to know new cultures and people.
I want to gain as many experiences as possible in my "young" years and I think that solo traveling is a great way to do that.
I like to be inspired and influenced by new people and on the way to my destination I would like to make many new friends and experiences.

Empathy and love for everyone, whether human or animal, are very important to me. I am close to nature and yet I call New York City my 2nd home at the moment.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

So far, I have always slept in hostels while traveling or had the privilege to stay with friends or family.
I wanted to give couchsurfing a try because I've heard so many good things about it, so here I am.

If someone is looking to stay a few nights in the small German city called Hildesheim, I’m more than happy to offer my guest bed (it’s not too big, so someone over 1,80m would have problems to sleep there).
Since my space is limited the guest bed would have to be in a shared room (:

I live in a small but cute apartment in a nice and quiet neighborhood.

I am also happy to offer free city tours or to get you involved in the local bar scene in my city! If you play an instrument or like to sing, you will quickly feel at home in my circle of friends!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Living with a penguin as a roommate for a few month. He was cute, but he didn't care a lot about hygiene and he could get very loud if you didn't have any fish. Can't recommend him as a roommate for anyone looking for someone clean and helpful with any tasks in the house. But he's a magnet for visitors. I still give him 5 out of 5 Stars since he was the biggest sweetheart and a good friend.

I hope he's doing good somewhere in the Atlantic Ocean.
