About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to leave the world a little better than I found it

ABOUT ME

I like storytelling, which is why I've decided to focus my studies in documentary film and radio. I enjoy hearing other peoples perspectives and life-hacks with the hope of learning something myself and sharing them with others.
I'm in my early twenties and still trying to figure "it" all out. I've got one more year of school, unsure of what the next step will be.

PHILOSOPHY

"think lightly of yourself and deeply of the world"
-Miyamoto Musashi

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I hosted a CSer from Australia last year during Halloween weekend. I try to stay active by hosting whenever someone needs a place to stay.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've couchsurfed once before in Ithaca, NY while working and hope to do more in the coming months as I'll be headed for Germany and Spain in the fall.

Interests

I'm an avid cyclist and a decent slackliner. I enjoy being outside and staying physically active. I'm not a great photographer but I like to take pictures. I like to meditate and nap. I love exploring new places and meeting new people. I'm also a fond listener of public radio. I listen to NPR and the BBC. Favorite shows: RadioLab, This American Life, Snap Judgement, The Moth. Give them a try!

Music, Movies, and Books

Silver Lining's Playbook, Pans Labyrinth, What About Bob

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I rode a bicycle 4,500 miles from Austin, TX to Anchorage, AK with 20 other college students to raise money for cancer research during the summer of 2012. We got to see North America through the lives of strangers who were willing to share a bit of themselves with other strangers.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can make a solid bowl of fried rice. Super easy to make, and a great dish. If you're curious on how to make it feel free to ask (or google it).

What I Can Share with Hosts

A couch. Lots of blankets and some pillows.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Ireland, Mexico, Morocco, Netherlands, Thailand

Countries I’ve Lived In

Germany, Spain, United States
