About Me

ABOUT US :
We are Marcel and Rachelle. We are a older Open minded, LGBT, Nudist / naturist couple , frugal travelers and sailing enthusiast. Yes we are Nudist meaning we are often naked at home, SO MAKE SURE TO LET US KNOW THAT YOU ARE COMFORTABLE WITH CRASHING AT A NUDIST HOUSE, no you do not have to be nude, but it is a good opportunity to try nudism if you ever were curious about it and wanted to try ;)

It has been said that the hardest part of becoming a nudist is not to take off your clothes but to having to put them back on :D

OUR PAST TRAVEL
Marcel, has traveled extensively during my 22 years naval career with the Canadian Navy. In addition I traveled across Canada Towing a 17 Foot sailboat along in 2000. I lived on Vancouver Island for a year and a half then returned to Nova-Scotia once again towing my 17 foot sailboat. I took me a few months each way as I traveled the less beaten path and launch my boat a few times along to explore along the way.

I have attended Burning Man for the first time in 2013 where I was introduce to "Couch Surfing" .

Rachelle and I sailed from Tampa to Savannah via the Florida keys in early 2018 on a 25 foot sailboat we bough for $1000 In Tampa and disposed of in Savannah 5 monts later. You can see our journey at https://www.polarsteps.com/MarcelSimard/474896-great-loop-adventure-first-attempt

CURRENT MISSION
"The tragedy of life doesn’t lie in not reaching your goal; The tragedy lies in having no goal to reach"

As I am entering that stage of life where the only "white Stuff" I care about should feel warm beneath my toes ; if cold it should be contained in a tall frosty glass and be smooth tasting ;)

Our long range plan includes sailing on the warmer inland waterways and doing the "Great Loop" (www.greatloop.org) in a few years as well as joining the annual fall migration of the famed Canadian Snowbirds and spend our winter sailing in the warmer climes and clear Blue waters of the Florida Keys and perhaps even the Bahamas.

In the meantime we are happy to host like minded travelers whenever we are at Home in Nova Scotia.

PHILOSOPHY
There is only one reason we make plans; its to know exactly what will not happen, but provides us a waypoint to head for ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I am a frugal traveler and want to meet and host other like minded travelers.

I got introduced to CS while attending Burning Man in 2013 when I stumble and crashed at the CS Camp... What an enjoyable memory (Ask me for details :D ) and I decided to join in.

Interests

We are a Nudist/Naturist couple which means we prefer being clothe when practical and being "Au Naturel / Nude whenever possible but especially when sunbathing or swimming at a seclude beach/lake, just hanging outdoors at home or even better when sailing.

We are frugal travelers and sailing enthusiasts who prefers small sailboat to larger and sheltered inland and coastal waters.

All these lead to my interest in low budget travel, Couchsurfing and WOOFING which we have yet experience but plan on giving it a try someday.

Music, Movies, and Books

I grew up with 70, 80 and 90 s music pop & pop Rock music I switch to country in 2008 and now I am into a mix of Both.

Rachelle is a true Metal head , which I can't stand, But she put up with my selection LOL

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

WOW, I have done so much amazing things, at least to me, that it is hard for me to select only one as the un usual is more of a norm for me considering that half of my naval career was served onboard Diesel Electric submarines. But if I had to choose a one or two amazing things I have done, it would be my Nude bungee Jumping at the Bungee zone in Nanaimo as part of a fund raiser for the breast Cancer society. That was quite the natural rush to jump buck naked off a bridge and being dunked (at my request) a few feet in the river below the bridge. Attending Burning Man in 2013 would be a close second.

Lastly spending the winter of 2018 sailing from Tampa to Savannah via the Florida keys on a 25 foot sailboat we bout for $1000 In Tampa and disposed of in Savannah 5 months later. You can see our journey at https://www.polarsteps.com/MarcelSimard/474896-great-loop-adventure-first-attempt
