ABOUT ME

So yeah about me, well it goes a little like this. I was punted out of the womb at 3:20 in the morning on August 25 1975. Grew up in a tragic time known as the 80's. As the youngest son to a Russian Jewish father I was expected to do more then the rest of the brood, I am guessing they thought the rest were prototypes and I was the desired "end product" to all their prior testing and failures. I was packed off to boarding school in the sticks of Maine in my teenage years then college after that. Though educated well, I feel that my time spent in Boy Scouts served me better then all that spent in the classroom.

My life's motto is
"leave no trace"

Its hard to be a human in these times. In a day and age where every thing is prepackaged and wrapped in plastic leaving no trace is nearly impossible. I guess all we can hope to do is lighten the impact and reduce the carbon footprint we leave behind.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couch surfed my way around North America via motorcycle. From Bangor Maine to Vancouver British Columbia then down to L.A. over to Key West. I had a blast while doing it. Though now with this site it would have been hella easier then doing it like I did it so many years ago. I have also crashed many a couch's through out the Vail Valley and many other ski resorts across North America.

I have also hosted many wary travelers and friends on my couches in the past, and all but a few times I have great experiences hosting people.

Interests

I love spinning poi and/or glow sticks it doesn't matter either one is a blast to play with and looks amazing. I am a snowboarder extreme sports kinda guy, and find motorcycles and other machinery that produce adrenaline to be dead sexy. I'm quite certain that my quest for more speed will be my eventual undoing.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am DnB and Jungle head, I love the fast beats and sick wet bass lines. Though I am an elitist bastard I will listen to about anything, even some country.

As far as movies go I like to see things with a good plot and/or premise at least. Same can be said about the books I read. I don't read or watch something because its popular, which means I watch very little t.v. if none at all.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have seen and done some amazing things, To list them I feel would be bragging. I have had a privileged life filled with many of opportunities to see and do amazing things.

Ok, if I were pick one thing. I'd have to say snowboarding in Alaska would have to be way up there on the list. Whilst the conditions were totally bogus for the first 4 days and we got no runs in, the last 3 days of the trip were absolute bliss and the staff at the outfitters really came through for us, getting us in as many runs as they could. Even allowing me the life long dream of jumping out of the helly into the shoot below. Good times.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have many useless human tricks ranging from auto & motorcycle mechanics to spinning poi. I am always down for teaching people what I know and visa versa. life is a never ending learning experience.
