About Me
Hello everyone, thanks a lot for dropping by! :) My name is Márton, but most of people from my home country call me Marci and I'm from Hungary (No, not "hungry" !!!) :D
I study BSc Business Administration at the University of Vienna and have been living in the Austrian capital city for 4 years. Living and study abroad is never easy, even if you are really far away from your family and your old friends and you rarely see them unfortunately. Now I'm doing my specialization at university, called "Management & Consulting" (yeah the course Game Theory is not the easiest one haha).
Originally, I come from west part of Hungary (Transdanubia) near the city Győr, between Vienna & Budapest, I'm actually a Danube Swabian because some of my ancestors are from Austria and in the East - Austrian province " Burgenland" there is also a significant Hungarian minority group too . Austria and Hungary has a lot of things in common as for the 19 - 20 th century History, which is the Austrian-Hungarian Empire with the Emperor-King Franz Joseph I and Charles I & IV.
Yes, in the photos you can see, I have a 2 minute older twinbrother haha!! His name is Matyi. We are fraternal twins but we take after each other a lot. We live and study the same courses together and I have to say not every twincouples live and study still together after 24 years! Now, the more older we get we also get on well with each other better! He is more reserved than me and a little bit introvert. But of course he also likes meeting couchsurfers, because he is my flatmate haha!
We have been hosting travellers for 3 years and I have to say I also made some good CS friends I'm still in touch with.
Hopefully one day, after university we will be able to travel the whole world and hopefully I'm going to find some nice hosts as well! Unfortunately I have never travelled outside of Europe but later I will manage to explore the whole world.
If you also plan to visit the capital city of my home country Budapest (just like every 2nd of my couchsurfers do yayyy you are awesome! ), normally, before or after Vienna, of course I would be really happy, because I could give you some pieces of advice what to visit there and what to EAT! Or, if you have already visited Budapest, I'd love to hear your story!
It's even a pleasure for me to meet couchsurfers who visit my homecountry as well! It makes me feel happy! Unfortunately I have never been to Sziget Music Festival in Budapest but hopefully one day I will manage to visit it! :-)
But in my opinion Hungary consists not only of the capital city Budapest... it's a beautiful city of course but we also have nice landscapes and we have the biggest lake of Central Europe called Balaton which is 78 km long and Its worth visiting it for one day during the summer! :) .... but hey its now about Austria and not Hungary I'm not sure you are interested in these things ^^
After 3 years, I have a lot of experiences this website I got so many nice messages from awesome people I wasnt able to host. But, please, DON'T send me copy + paste messages! And why? Because firstly I am going to decline you without an answer and secondly I have the feeling maybe you just need a free hostel and you didn't really read my profile.
You didn't mention personal things in your message why you want to stay in my home and maybe the most important question is: How can you live with a stranger whose profile you have never read? just a good piece of advice ! Please be aware, my small home, its not just a free hostel, I think it's more .. :) I do not really like ungrateful people. If you try to be nice and friendly to me until I host you and after hosting you are disrespectful, pls dont message me!
Thanks a lot again for reading my profile! I am really busy so thanks for understanding if I reply late. I hope you also know maybe how busy studentlife can be. :)
Marci and Matyi :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Looking for good friends from the whole world and meeting nice people to be honest. I'm happy I can call pair of my previous couchsurfers a good friend and I'm grateful for this website. As I said, I always liked meeting new people and just a friend showed this website to me. I gave a chance for CS and after hosting some people I realized how cool it is even I also had some bad experience.
The best thing of your traveling finding and having a good host. Especially when your own couchsurfers became your friends. Furthermore it's amazing seeing people's different interests, habbits and culture. :)
Especially the most interesting thing for me is, when my couchsurfers want to visit different things in Vienna I have never heard about or want to try something that is also new for me for this reason I also get to know the city better. :)

Do you know the restaurant Vapiano maybe? If you visit me on my workplace I can cook great Italian pasta for you! :P But I like learning new languages and I'm always happy to hear some easy basics foreign expressions. I like eating a lot and if you could cook something traditional for me from your home country I won't say no for sure haha. ;) A good food always makes me feel better! And of course I would be happy for some good recipes which are really easy to cook for students on a low budget. I eat almost everything. :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
Teaching some Hungarian maybe ? A lot of people think its a Slavonic language, but it's not haha!!
It is releated to Finno-Ugrian group of languages (like Finnish, Estonian) and it is said Hungarian is one of the hardest languages in the world. :D
