My name is Marcin I am from in Poland I am 32 years old. I lived, studied and worked in the USA for about 8 years so I am more or less fluent in English with a bit of an american accent. I currently live in Poland I have an office job which I actually like, because it lets me work in the field sometimes and travel a bit as well, so there is a portion of diversity.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I must be honest here and say that I can't afford a hotel (or even a hostel) most times I visit western Europe, but a chance to meet someone in a foreign coutry seems like a great prospect. I believe that I am open minded and respectful which I believe is absolutely necessary to be couch surfing. I hope that I will be able to host someone in my home town in the future as well.

Interests

I am 32 years old, I am a single working dad of a great 8 year old boy. I like to remain active in my free time and I like cycling, exercises, gym ect. However I also enjoy good fantasy novels, movies and football in general. I guess I am a friendly type of person, open to other cultures and people.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to various types of music from acoustic, trough blues, rock, metal, alternative and reggae. Lately I enjoy looking up relatively unknown youtube artists making acousitic covers or "mashups" of some famous songs. Favorite movie is a tricky choice I enjoy fantasy / sci-fi movies, such as Lord of the Rings, I am a fan of Star Wars universe, but there are many other movies that I enjoyed as well such as Tarantino productions for example. I have similar taste in books and I prefer mostly fantasy sci-fi novels, I like to read in general I think people seriously need to read more.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I guess "amazing" means something else for different people it is hard to pick an example and I did a lot of crazy stuff when I was younger ;) Right now for me "amazing" is spending time with my kid and watiching him grow. On more personal level it would be being able to recover after a terrible break-up with "supposed-to-be the one" and getting our of some form of depression without loosing a positive attitude toward love in general. Other thing would be the internal urge for self development and pushing oneself out of the comfort zone to dare to experience something new, look for something better.
