About Me
Hey!
I’m Marcin
I love to wander around discovering new places and tastes, making new friends and enjoying my life. I learned from experience that ‘slow travelling’ is the best. I prefer to see less, but to get to know places better. I like to spend longer time in one city or country, hitchhike around with no strict plan and see what life has to offer. I really enjoy learning new languages and trying local food (that’s probably… nope, that IS my favourite part of travelling). I love living in hostels with other backpackers and making local friends as well.
Anyway, some general facts about me:
-I’m 22
-I study mechanical engineering at AGH, Kraków
-I speak Polish and English fluently, and I can speak Russian quite well (уже могу прочитать книги "Малышь Николя"!), recently I really got into learning German (fingers crossed that I won't give up)
Here are some points from my bucket list:
-see a space rocket launching
-see polar bears of Svalbard
-do a horse riding trip in Kyrgizstan
-learn to make perfect Urfa kebap
-travel in an 'iron train' in Mauretania
-do a trekking in Tusheti, Georgia
-visit Lofoten and see northern lights
-ski in japanese deep powder snow
-see Concorde, An-225, Tu-144 and Airbus Beluga
-visit a Vegeterain festival on Phuket
-live for some time in Moscow
-do a trekking to Toubkal, Kazbek and Elbrus
And many more...

Music, Movies, and Books
Books: mostly polish writers, both non-fiction and fiction. My favourite authors are S. Twardoch, B. Demick,S. Alexievich, D.Glukhovsky, W. Tochman
Movies: Both parts of Blade Runner, Alien movies, First Man, Knives out, Lego movie
Tv series: Peaky Blinders, Trailer Park Boys, the Handmaid's Tale and the best out of the best - Dark
Music: I love black metal and synth-pop. I know, that's a weird combination, but I like to experiment with music. Except for the genres mentioned above I listen to russian coldwave, old school gangsta rap, psych turk, retro polish rock and many, many others
BTW, I would really appreciate any recommendations on what to read/watch/listen from you guys!
