About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I love to travel and to meet people from all over the world. At couch surfing, I'm looking forward to meeting people from different parts of the world and maybe stay at someone else's place during my next trip!

ABOUT ME

Travelling is - to me and to my girlfriend Clarissa - one of our greatest passions. We travel as much as we can, and we absolutely love meeting foreign cultures. So far, we have been to aproximately 20 countries in Europe, and to about 5 in America.
Nevertheless, both of us feel that, when we travel abroad, we hardly ever meet people from the country we're visiting. We tend to be so focused on the touristic sites, that most of the time we don't have time to interact with other people. That's why I decided to register @ couch surfing. I figured this would be a unique opportunity to meet more throughly people from different parts of the world.
I'm eager to welcome you at my house in the city of Porto Alegre, Brazil. I'm aware that finding a place to stay here has been increasingly difficult, so offering a couch may be helpful for someone who's been looking for a permanent place to stay. But I'm also open to host tourists or non-permanent visitors.
What do I expect from a visitor? First of all, It is important to highlight that my house is not a party-house. I take my studies very seriously, and, therefore, parties could disturbe my routine. I offer a place for people to rest, to share their culture, to see how a typical brazilian's life is, but not to drink, smoke or party.
Sencond of all, I'd like my guest to bring me something from their home culture. Nothing expensive, maybe just a small souvenir, as long as it is a typical thing from my guest's home country.
Third of all... I want my guest to know that I'm not the most available person in the world.. my studies and my work require me to stay most of the day in front of the computer... that means I probably wont have time to visit all the touristic spots with my guest, if he is trying to do that, but I would absolutely want to do at least something with him.... maybe go out to dinner or something like that...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm new here. Actually I have created a profile a while ago, but just now (oct/11) I'm actually putting some information in it. Nevertheless, I've had a lot of guests staying at my place, and I have stayed at friends' house several times, so I know that this experience can be really awesome, depending on the type of people you meet.

Interests

I'm interested in politics, economics, history, movies, literature... my guest will be bombarded with questions regarding these topics, there's no doubt about that... on the other hand, if the guest is looking for information about Brazil in these topics, I'd sure be happy to share information with him.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

So many amazing things done and seen... and I can say, most of them happenend during trips...visiting the amazing lost city os Machu Picchu was the most recent one... but I could mention many other experiences, just as going to the Grand Canyon, in the US, watching the landscape of countryside Italy, which offers on of the most spectacular views I've ever seen, or maybe seeing the sunset at the Bohphorus in Istanbul, something that I'll just remember for the rest of my life..
