Overview
About Me
Let's see, this should be easy right?!
Currently teaching English at a University in Guangzhou, China. I have been here for a little over a year now, and taught at Tsinghua University in Beijing before this. I lived in Milan, Italy back in 2001-2003, as an au-pair.
Born and raised in Upstate New York (think farmville, not the City!) I love living in China and am happy to show any guests the many reasons why this country and it's people are so amazing. I love traveling and learning from people all over the world.. I'm quite sarcastic and a little spazy when I get excited. Not in a scary way.. more like how a puppy might! :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think everyone has something to learn from every single person that comes into their life.. and it's too bad many people don't see this. I believe that anyone and everyone on couch surfing probably subscribes to that philosophy as well!
Also I like to see places (and show people my city) as the locals see them, and this is a great way to do that!
Interests
I love traveling, meeting different people everyplace I can, experiencing different cultures, and eating different foods! I am not a huge partier, but I like beer and wine and fun places with cool people. If you drag me to a club I'll dance, but I won't be the one to suggest going there in the first place!
I love animals, art, exploring, and laughing. I think I am hysterical but you may not!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Recently? I would say that it's amazing that I maintained the attention span to finish this profile..
Overall? I guess I am most proud of realizing at the age of 28 that I couldn't sit at my desk job any longer.. going back to school and getting a Master's (with a 4.0 while working full time) and then placing out and moving to China. Am I 33 years old? Yes.. and that's a little older than I wish I was.. but now I am living my dream and have filled my entire passport in just over one year :)
