ABOUT ME

I'm spiritually a cross between punk and rocker. Major bad attitude to politicians, liars, cheats and thieves. I love being alive. I love watching bands play, drinking English ale, laughing, a little smoking, motorcycles, fishing... I just love living.

PHILOSOPHY

Every day I wake up and think: 'I'm here again. What shall I do with this new day.' I'm a massively positive person. Never, ever put off until tomorrow something you can do today. I nearly died when I was a child. Now, I never waste a moment.

It's early days. My Italian wife - Toni - and I host students already and love it. We're definitely not your average 50-year-olds. Just 30-year-olds with a bit more worldiness

I drove into the Sierra de Las Nieves in Spain, along tracks at the edge of a 300-foot ravine, in a 4x4, right up to the foot of Torrecillo, and drank from a spring.
I fly-fished in Swedish Lapland, above the arctic circle, where there was no phone or TV, hiking hills to mountains streams, eating reindeer stew over an open fire.
