Just moved to Texas to live closer to my daughter. I'm working as a traveling and remote IT consultant, so I spend about half of my time in random new cities flying back and forth from wherever.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've been hosting for a couple years now, and have surfed through the pacific coast a bit.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Im pretty much an OG couchsurfer, i've been crashing in random places since i was a child. I had been hosting a lot during the years i had my house and couchsurfed my way through central california for a while after that. Havent been able to host for a while but i look forward to being able to again when i can.

Interessen

i like eating more than anything, also making things, riding bikes, gardening, economics, technology as a tool to get stuff done so i can relax more. I'm generally working on ways to help other people enjoy life more.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

Musically im into punk rock and its related genres, from ska to hardcore.

Im a big fan of the hitchhikers guide and also the wealth of nations, so those cover a pretty wide spectrum. I mostly read nonfiction, mainly textbooks and assorted educational propaganda, I have pretty dry reading interests.

Favorite movie is probably the big lebowski, but honestly i am usually more excited to watch how other people react to a movie than i am to see it myself.

Well my bike trip through california was pretty nice, but the subway in zion is probably my favorite spot on the planet.

Lehren, lernen, teilen

Im a very practical guy and i enjoy creating things. I know how to make a pretty good amount of functional stuff and id always like to learn more from people with similar interests and skills. I've built greenhouses, small buildings, gardens, cars, bikes, computers, all kinds of things. Id like to be able to build myself an underground house in the third world eventually. I'm working toward a goal of being able to get paid to do design and business consultation for farms and farm related industries. In the mean time Im taking some classes and hanging out in my rv.
