About Me

I'm a fun and adventurous guy who loves to live life to the fullest! Going through life with a "Work smart, play hard" motto and believe "the core of man's spirit comes from new experiences" (corny, I know, but true!).

A day passed without learning something new OR doing something good for someone else- is a day wasted!

I pretty much get along easily with anyone and always keen to meet new people.

I still have no clue what I want to do with my life, but I'll be honest: I'm having a blast and loving life whilst finding out!

(N.B. Side-note on common courtesy: Be considerate and clean-up after yourselves during your stay. Whilst I can comprehend that most travelers are on a low budget, if you are only looking for a place to stay in order to get free meals or amenities, then don't request with us. Although we are generous, we don't need "spongers" taking advantage)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The traveling bug has bitten me, so this is a great, affordable way to see the world, meet new people and learn about new cultures and experiences what the CS community has to offer and from me to offer the same to travelers (keen on seeing Mozambique, where I'm currently based with my wife Jinny).

Movies: A few of my favorites: The Gladiator, Fight Club, Training Day, The Intouchables, Man on Fire, American Gangster, Snatch, Pulp Fiction, The Departed, One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest, A Beautiful Mind, Scent of a Woman

Books: A few great ones: Can't Hurt Me, Love People Use Things, Shantaram, Siddhartha, The Little Prince, Who Moved My Cheese, Jump, The Alchemist, The Hobbit, Collected Short Stories Of Roald Dahl, Stoep Zen, Mzanzi Zen, The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari and then a lot of self development/personal growth/motivational books and audio books (Secrets of the millionaire mind, One Minute Manager, Simplify, The Millionaire Next Door, Jump Start Your Growth)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It's difficult to choose one, but I would say the wildest one was a 250km self-supported multistage ultra marathon (Racing The Planet) in the country Georgia and also Finland. A close 2nd would be the road trip from my hometown in South Africa to Mozambique on a 110cc Vuka Scooter, which took me 3 days. =D
