I am a field biologist and I spent the last six years working and travelling around the globe, in different groups and projects.
I like cooking and listening to music, I enjoy good cinema and indie videogames.
I like reading, and I try to alternate novels to essays, to fill the gaps in my knowledge.

I created this profile during my master's degree and ended up never using it, for some reason.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have lived in over 20 different shared accomodations, and I love the sense of community that arises from sharing meals and stories.
I love international environments and I would rather spend some time with a local, getting immersed in a new culture than be a tourist.

Music, Movies, and Books

I really love the oldies, music from the 70s and 80s, but I am curious about most genres.
One of my favourite movie directors is Carpenter, but lately I have been enjoying the stuff Eggers has been producing.
I just started reading more seriously a few years ago, and I love reading books about ecology and the climate crisis, connecting the dots between the ecological, political and economical trouble we are living. I appreciate scifi novels a lot, too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I held a Lynx in my arms. I handled birds of paradise. I swam with highly venomous sea snakes in the Coral sea.

Teach, Learn, Share

I like carving wood but at the moment I don't have any tool with me. One of my main hobbies is using camera traps to film wildlife in a non-invasive way.
