About Me
Not too active on Couchsurfing in the last 6 years, but now (Aug 2018) I have again a sofa to host people in need, so I'm back to it :) !
I'm Marco, PhD student at the University of Warwick in Synthetic Biology after having lived and studied in Triest and Padua (Italy), Graz (Austria) and Oxford (UK). I pretend to be a scientist, playing with cells and DNA in the lab.
I'm very curious about what's around me, I'm interested in knowing new cultures from all around the world (well, ok, otherwise I wouldn't be on Couchsurfing, would I?).
Other than travelling, which is the reason most of us are here for, I'm passionate about photography - mainly travel photography and what I end up to do when I'm not travelling: "friends-photography". You can have a look here at some travel pics https://www.flickr.com/photos/146038012@N04/ (I don't put friends pics because they might kill me for that!).
MOTTOS
"Where there's a will there's a way" (*as long as money is not involved, otherwise there's not much I can do)
"Why not?" (*unless there's a really strong argument, I guess)
"It's not important the destination but the travel" (*especially if during the travel you're given cashew nuts)
"Dance like nobody's watching" (*and I really do, accordingly to friends' videos)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Well, to meet new people around the world, exchange language/culture and help people in need (in order also to be helped when I'll be in need). Isn't this the main reason for everyone here after all?
As couchsurfer, I've been hosted in Nice (France) for 2 nights.
As a host, I hosted twice when I lived in Padua (Italy).
