About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To see as much of the world as possible and to create some amazing stories while I do it. There is so much to learn about the world before we can improve it, and the only way to learn is to do.
ABOUT ME
Hey! My name is Mark and I currently studying abroad in Barcelona, Spain. I'm in my 3rd year at Boston College in the United States. I am a fun loving guy and I'm always looking for my next adventure wherever it may be. I'm exciting, talkative, and sociable and very outgoing. I love to travel, but never as a tourist. I'm easy going, relaxed, low-maintenance and very cultural. I have a deep appreciation for all things different and I want to experience everything.
PHILOSOPHY
My personal philosophy is Live, Love, Learn, and have fun doing it!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
As a student currently traveling all I have to offer is myself. However, what that means is sharing my culture, my personality, and my stories with the people I have the opportunity to meet.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I am new to couch surfing but hope to add to this soon!
Interests
I like sports, music, movies, theater. I lOVE travel. There isn't any place I don't want to go and the more off the beaten path the better. I aim to serve so I'm big into volunteering and am considering the peace corps.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love music. I sing in several choirs so I like everything from classical to contemporary. More importantly if I can dance to it, it's good. I like pop, whatever is on the radio, I love techno beats. Hip/Hop and rap when they are done tastefully. I even enjoy musicals as I used to participate in them. Movies are my passion. I'll watch any movie and I love being up to date on what's coming out. My favorites from this past year were Slumdog Millionaire and Milk. I love to read, I actually enjoy everything from non-fiction to thrillers. I just finished reading a book on the future of Africa but my next book is Dan Brown's latest novel.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
This past year I took a trip to the Vatican with my singing group. I had the opportunity to sing mass in St. Peter's Basilica with an audience from the Pope himself! I'm not a catholic but this was a beautiful experience that I will never forget!
Teach, Learn, Share
I want to teach others not to hate, fear, or disrespect Americans. I want to teach others that people from all parts of the world can be kind or ignorant. I want to teach others about growing up in a multicultural household, and share with them my knowledge of other parts of the world. I want to learn about their lives, their history, their careers. I want to know about their cities and their countries, and most importantly I want to share everything I learn with my loved ones back home who don't have the opportunity to travel for themselves.
