ABOUT ME
Facebook Profile: http://www.facebook.com/marco.guiotto
To be honest I should say that I'm definitely not a typical italian. I love to travel but only if the travel is aimed to something, in the specific I travel to discover, learn and develope different typologies of vocal music. I've been a "stage" singer for some years, then something told me that it wasn't enough... I discovered other possibilities in music, some potential not related to the entertainment, and I started to study a "mixture" of yoga and music which is called Dhrupad, and that's why I went twice to India and in Siberia.
PHILOSOPHY
I'd like to be an interface between the West and the East. I believe in the power of mutual understanding, consider me a human being with a heart.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
before the CS experiences I got accomodation only through friends met locally, most of the times the same day: great people who offered me a place to stay when I had the need.
Interests
I don't like music itself, but the consequences of it. My interests are: listening, ethnomusicology, photo shoting, talking,(good) movies, landscape worshipping when the light is appropriate and... many other activities like snowboarding, hiking, drinking, cooking (I cook pretty well ;-))

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
oh, well, the endless, cold, lifeless steppe, the transiberian landscape, 12 Himalayan sunsets, a 720* stalefish underflip and (immediatly later) my left ankle's broken bones, a frozen spider, my 2 brothers birth, my male dog trying to have an intercourse with my male cat, Ustad Rahim Fahimuddhin Dagar Khan giving a senseless speach on music during a visit to Bhopal's music institute, a guy with a 20 cm wooden hair-stick completely pushed in the nose hole trying to drink 1 lt of stout... what else..
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach classical indian vocal music ("Dhrupad") which is related to the Yoga of the sound (Nada Yoga). I can teach siberian overtone singing ("Khoomei") as well as Western Harmonic Singing.
I'm an expert Mac user and a good photographer. I can make very nice protrait-pictures (on demand)!
I would love to learn how to: "Yodel", "drive" a sailboat, light a fire with nothing but two sticks (I often forget the lighter home..), whatever is taught with passion.
