About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Trying to create a better and peaceful world, for us and for those who will come after us

ABOUT ME

Enthusiastic and easy-going person, always in search of new adventures and discoveries. Extremely passionate about travelling and meeting new people on the way, who I can share experiences and stories with. Curious about everything, I simply try not to surrender to habits and routines, which make life boring and repetitive. Therefore, I escape reality whenever I got a chance, by looking for new adventures, immerging myself in a fascinating book, or simply looking for those little daily things which could turn a grim day into a sunny one.

PHILOSOPHY

There is no nation, just people willing to be set free, explore the world, and building a better future.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment, I cannot host couchsurfers since I am sharing the flat with some other people. However, given my wonderful experience as a couchsurfer, I would be really happy, whenever the conditions change, to host travellers and sharing great moments with them.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been host in Barcelona by Clara last summer, and it was a great and enjoyable experience. She walked me through the old city of Barcelona, telling me the stories of the old alleys, streets and buildings. I couldn't have explored the town better!

Music, Movies, and Books

Starting with books, I love getting lost in the historical narratives of Umberto Eco (Foucault's Pendulum, The Prague cemetery) and Luther Blisset/Wu Ming (Q, Altai), in the philosophical adventures of Sophie (Jostein Gaarder), and in the brilliant though harsh stories of George Orwell (1984, Keep the Aspidistra flying). I also love political, economic and philosophical essays, which I read for my research project and my personal interest.

As for music, I think that every moment deserves a different type of music. Therefore, I love several kinds of music, from rock, to jazz, from heavy metal to blues, according to the specificity that a particular moment requires.

Filmwise, I really enjoy thrillers, actions and dramas, anything that is capable to leave something in you.

Teach, Learn, Share

I live my life as a constant apprenticeship: there is always something new to learn, every day. And this knowledge you get from other people, from new experiences, or from the book we've just opened. I don't believe in those who have the solution for everything. I'd rather understand things little by little, build a piece of knowledge every day, and construct a better future from the small and interpersonal relations we have every day.
