About Me

So I was super lucky to grow up in Europe and South Africa, so it's fair to say I've seen a fair share of the world. I would love to continue meeting fascinating people from around the world, so couch surfing has so far been a fab way to get to know interesting people and cultures!

I've started work as a junior doctor in Bristol at start of the vivid pandemic but making plans to travel and work whenever I can! Planning on moving out of here in the next years with the plan of giving Australia a go!

If you speak one of the languages I speak, please message me in that language so I know you've read this? :D
Also if you Seek Discomfort / know YesTheory let me know so I know we are on the same page!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Want to get to know the world through your eyes. (cheeeesy)
Travelling the world and meeting beautiful and wonderful people is an ongoing adventure; Unfortunately my spare living arrangements as a British students have limited my abilities to host, but I'd love to host if you don't mind a squeeze or meet up with you and share stories, laughs and show you my current home!

Interests

Obsessed with football, hockey, tennis and all things sports!
Join me having a jam on guitar and/or piano, and check out my favourite artists including TDCC, The Wombats, Alt J, Mac deMarco, The Kooks and Tame Impala;
Favourite films: Anything Nolan and Zimmer put their hands on, esp. Inception and Momento. Wes Anderson is my long-lost father. Will binge watch a series two days before an exam (GoT, BB, Lost) - and want to be cast in Sens8!
Favourite places: Brighton, Port Elizabeth (SA) and Michalovce (SK).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Graduated medical school during a pandemic 🏫
Fully dissected a human body (following the prior) 🔪
Moved from and to now 8 countries around the world🌍
Climbed Mt Kilimanjaro 🗻
Travelled for a month around Italy without a wallet relying on the kindness of strangers!
Was the first man (ever) to take part in a swinging ritual in a village in India 🇮🇳
Watch Chelsea win the Champions League ⚽

Teach, Learn, Share

Newly qualified doc with an interest in cultural and anthropological psychology and philosophy, history, sciences, literature and cooking (sounding like a walking cliche). I speak English, German and Slovakian fluently and French, Spanish, Portuguese and Afrikaans conversationally. Join me in the kitchen and join me in cooking up some food that can only be described as global fusion - no rules, often it's veggie/vegan and always ends up being (surprisingly) tasty! I'd love to show you my side to English culture, and on the other hand experience your part of the world! I love exchanging ideas and views, no matter how controversial yours may be, I'd love to have a chat!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I want to share with you my passion for life and my perspective on anything from in vitro babies to why Alex Trimble and Rupert Grint will lead a Redhead Revolution that will change the planet as we know it. I'd love to learn your language and culture and I'd love to show me mine; always up for a chat and coffee/pint!
