My name is Marcos Sanzano, I was born in a little city named Deán Funes in the Province of Córdoba, Argentina.

I got a Bachelor's Degree in Film and Television and a Diploma in Media Production at the National University of Córdoba in Argentina. I am a Filmmaker and Photographer working in Córdoba but I am travelling all the time.

I was lucky enough to travel and study in The United States for a semester at the University of Texas at Austin. There I met plenty of interesting and loving people, I lived in a Co-op therefore I met a lot of international students from different parts of the world. Through that experience, I realized that the connection between two people does not depend on nationality, background, or even language but simply through human connection and compassion

In 2018 I traveled through New Zealand for one year working as a photographer but also doing random jobs that gave me the chance to keep going along the road. After that year, I started a journey through South East Asia that changed and shaped my view about the world and more importantly about myself.
Right now I'm living in Cordoba, planning different trips after COVID 19.

I am passionate about basketball, martial arts, movies, books, philosophy, and mindfulness.

I love to get in touch with new people and learn about new cultures around the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think Couchsurfing is one of the best ways to getting to know new people and an excellent way of visiting different places around the world. One of the things I love about Couchsurfing is that you get to know a new perspective of life in the places you travel, a vision that otherwise it's difficult you get if you are staying in a hostel, hotel, or apartment.

But more importantly, I think C.S is a great way to give and receive at the same time. It does not matter if you are a host or a traveler, there is always something to offer, this could be simply a smile or maybe some information, it could be a couch, a meal or simply a moment of happiness while telling stories about your trips. Another interesting thing is that sometimes you really get to know the people hosting you and that creates a nice last longing relationship while staying there and afterward, I believe this is really important when you are traveling.

Interests

I am a filmmaker and photographer, therefore, I am passionate about anything related to films, cinema, and the photography world. My interest in cinema and photography started when I was a teenager and I began taking pictures with my old grandfather's film photography camera. Then I studied at the University and started to work with the same passion for those things as when I was a teenager. I also love basketball, I've been playing it since I am a little child, my entire family plays it so its a natural activity for me and I love it.

I started to train Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, a year ago, I'm still a beginner in this martial art but I really enjoy the process of doing new activities and learn more skills that help you become better in your life.
