Backpacking across the States

ABOUT ME

Collectively we've traveled most of the United States but separately only portions. We're a hodge podge of punk, bohemian, urbanite kiddos with backpacks and wanderlust. Our current objective is hiking the Appalachian trail but we will see which way the wind blows. We're hoping to meet new friends and catch up with old ones along the road so send us a message and let's hang out!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment we've been surfing from town to town and once we get home our couches will be opened up to any other traveling soul that needs it

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Through the site we've only talked to a few people but we have been making friends all over and been overed several couches, comforters and floors.

Music, Movies, and Books

Joey-I am more of a writer than a reader myself, I love horror movies especially zombie movies. Music I am pretty diverse on anything can be good.

Marcos - I love reading. Sometimes I swallow books whole. Anything by Krishnamurti is high on my list. Thoreau and Huxley are some of my favorite writers as well. Harry Potter and Gotrek and Felix are my favorite book series. My favorite movie is Synecdoche. Charlie Kaufman in general is an amazing screenwriter and director. I'm also a huge Star Wars fan. My music taste is pretty eclectic but as of late it's mostly been Folk and Stoner genres. But Queens Of The Stone Age is my favorite band.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Marcos - A year ago I hitchhiked to California and it's been one of the best experiences of my life. Also SXSW and meeting my favorite bands from across the world.

Joey- I have been to so many concerts my ears hurt. I have seen lots of urban America, and now plan on seeing the wilderness.

We aren't the most technically skilled of people but we do our best to help out wherever we can. Marcos has worked in a plant nursery for awhile so he might be able to tell you a thing or two about pretty flowers.
