About Me

I'm doing a one-year postdoc in Lisbon. I was born in Bariloche, in Argentinean Patagonia. Growing up in Latin America shaped my personality, and the many possibilities I've had in life, education, travels, and conversations with amazing people have shaped my interests.

I'm interested in literature, music, history, and philosophy, but most importantly, I am interested in humans and their lives. LGBT (very) friendly.

I could blame my Italian ancestry for my love for coffee and wine (nothing serious, don't worry!).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To learn about new places in the world, show the city I'm living in and make new contacts.

Interests

I'm a curious person who tries to learn new things and enjoys sharing long talks and anecdotes with other people. I love to read, run, play the piano or the guitar, wine, watch films and listen to music. When I visit my home town in Patagonia I also love trekking in the mountains and forest. I'm interested in cities, so I started a blog about the neighbourhood where I used to lived in Buenos Aires: Belgrano/Núñez. Although I didn't keep up with it as expected it has helped me know my place better.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to music all day long. I would say my favourite genres are Jazz, Argentinean Rock, Baroque Music, Tango. I don't see movies as often as I would like to, but I enjoy suspense, documentaries and historical movies. I love argentinean literature, mainly Jorge Luis Borges and Juan José Saer. I also like cuban writer Reinaldo Arenas, italian Italo Calvino and hungarian Sandor Marai.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been lost in the forest with two friends for a night and managed to find the track again.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Music, books, company, cooking, wine, some facts and opinions on argentinean history and present.
