About Me
Current mission:
To die with memories; not with dreams.
And a trip to Japan from 22nd of April until the 14th of May - Crazy!
After finishing my Ph.D. and moving away from Saarbrücken, Germany, I have been looking to find balance in life with the perfect job combined with some entrepreneurship. This resulted in a wonderful role as a facilitator/trainer at my current employer and a lot of great gigs as private contractor in the comedy industry.
My spare time is dedicated to staying fit, writing, watching crazy sci-fi/fantasy/thriller content and travelling! I think I have a decent cultural understanding of how the world fits together. Respect for how people live and thus know how to welcome people in my home and how to behave when I'm visiting someone else's. And when I don't, I am eager to learn how to adapt.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've hosted a couple of people so far, and it hasn't been boring since :)
I offer drinking, cooking, fun, laughter and traveling together to every surfer! And in return hope to find out a lot more about what other people have to offer. Not just to me, but to the world. What they care about. Basically anything associated with the free choices that someone makes, intrigues me!

Music, Movies, and Books
Anything related to futurists thinking, (science)fiction, comics, philosophy and fantasy intrigue me. Mainly because it requires a very creative, open and broad mindset in space and time to do it right.
Some jewels to mention (in no specific order or medium type): Brave new world, The Denial of Death, Matrix, Lord of the Rings, The Notebook, Primer (or any time travel movie), Interstellar, Flashpoint Paradox story arc, Southpark, Human (Documentary), Fire Fly/Serenity, Cowboy Bebop, Ghost in the Shell, The entire MCU collection and DC counterparts (men's version of Disney movies) and many TED-talks!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Witness how resilient people are under dire circumstances while working, in contrast to how stressed out they can be when enjoying all the luxuries of life (often in western countries).
Went scuba diving in Hurghada and witnessed a giant manta ray take off from the seabed, only several meters away. Just in awe of how big these creatures are up close. Would recommend anyone with any interest in diving to go there for a week or so on a dive safari. It'll change your world :)
And the Machu Picchu seen from the Wayna Picchu at sunrise... amazing and almost indescribable feeling.
