My name is Marcus and I am living in Ottawa, ON, Canada. I am a teacher starting my career and I love every day at my job. I love to travel and meet new people wherever I go. I spent a year living and teaching in Brighton, England where I had loads of fun travelling experiences.

I casually play the guitar and the ukulele but am not the greatest at either :).

I love taking drives around the Ottawa area and checking out parks and trails because there is a lot to explore around here.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to help others doing the same thing that I am trying to do: travel with minimal cost and maximum enjoyment. My life as a traveller is just beginning so I would love to hear stories from others who have been on the road so that I may gain insight.

Interests

Education, music (live music!), playing my ukulele - it was the only instrument I could fit in my bag when I moved here, eating many different varieties of food and drinking many different varieties of beer.

Moved England to start my career. Loved beautiful Brighton on the English Channel.

I also bungee jumped several years ago and it was incredible.

I think that this could be the best possible way to meet people who have the most interesting lives and experiences to share. Perhaps I can share some of my own - though I've done most of my travelling within Canada!
