Hi I'm Marcus!

I'm from the Chicago area and I attended university at UIC but I’m transferring! I study biochemistry and nutritional sciences, but for now I'm surfing my way to San Fransisco! I'm making my way to San Fransisco to meet old friends for two days until I fly away to Japan. 🦆✈️🇯🇵

I have a year and some change of experience with the vagabond lifestyle and I’m still loving ever second of it! I aspired to be a generic Christopher McCandless without the dying part. Now my current goals are more modest. Firstly, I’d like to eat okonomiyaki until my stomach ruptures and secondly, impress my girlfriends family in doing so.

Music: Rock, Punk, classical, jazz, hip hop, rap, and just about everything else. Disney sound tracks are pretty dope too!

Favorite books: The Stranger-Camus, Nausea-Sartre, Into the Wild (cliché I know), history/historical fiction.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Backpacking/bushwhacking the Alaskan wilderness for two weeks. To top it off I scaled my way up a glacier and flipped upside down on the descent. In that moment I’d like to think of myself as an off brand James Bond. 😎
