I grew up in Chicago, one of 4 boys raised by immigrant parents. Mom was born in Croatia but grew up in Austria and Dad is Latvian (RIP 😞). My brothers live across the country and I chose New Orleans to be my second home over 15 years ago. However, it’s time to move on soon and want to share this space while I’m still here. I’ve lived in New Orleans a long time and love sharing the unique soul this city holds. My friends know me as being honest, tough but gentle, sarcastic, and intolerant of bullshit. And oh yeah, I HATE American football. Soccer? Hell YES! It takes actual talent to play that sport. I’ve lived here in the Bywater since 2004. Same house. It was very cluttered at one time but I’ve made great progress in releasing junk I thought was cool at one point. I do try and keep a clean house but lately, I’ve been overwhelmed, however I promise you a clean bed w sheets and a genuine personality. I’m busy with work and renovating the other part of the house so I may not be very free to show you around but this town is very tourist friendly and is easy to navigate.
And maybe it's also my feeling that after a long hiatus from hosting, I should do this again as I have met some great people over the years through CS and this is also a little selfish...I will be travelling the world in 2020 and who knows, maybe I’ll visit you some day. I’m 44 now and have had a lot of health issues the last decade here, preventing me to travel outside the states, but I’m alive and well. Just no more tobacco, lol, only good wine and real beer.

I’m in between housemates and have a furnished guest room to share. . I like Europeans’ perspective on our crumbling empire and this city of decay, New Orleans, is a magical place I love to share with others, especially genuine travelers. If you’re coming to “N’awlins” to party and jam out on Frenchman every night, please don’t request to stay here, we won’t get along. Or, if. you’re fresh out of University and want to bring your bros with harmonicas and guitars, go stay in the French Quarter. I’m a free thinking, moral, and honest soul. I find intelligent conversation and expressive souls to converse with satisfying as this all we have in life, our connections, no?
Thanks for looking and if it works out with my schedule, my unique and quirky house is open for you to stay and hopefully we’ll probably become friends. I’m open to renting the room out for longer stays. My neighborhood, the Bywater has been murdered by AirBnB. I tried doing it and never again. Like I said, I’m in between room mates and if you need a place for more than a night or two, I’m open to options. We can discuss after we meet and see if we get along, eh? 😬
