About Me

I'm a Web and Graphic Designer from Brazil who has already done a lot! Besides working with Design I've had other professional experiences as an English Teacher for about 4 years, Volunteer in an organization that takes care of rescued wild animals in my city and even a Bartender and Waiter on a Cruise Ship for Royal Caribbean, among other adventures. Right now I'm living with my mother in Jundiai, a city near São Paulo, the largest town in Brazil. But I have already lived in Sao Paulo for a few years too.
I absolutely love traveling, music, arts, nature and cinema (during my trips, I will often try to connect all of those!).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I first started traveling on long and more distant trips, I surely didn't think about "alternative" ways of staying at the places I was going to, so I used to spend some money in hotels... so a few trips after that, I started getting in contact with people who use Hostels in their trips, and after my first stay in a one of those (in Guadalajara, Mexico) I saw I would never want a Hotel again! Not only I was saving A LOT of money, but I had, that way, the amazing opportunity of meeting new people, who would surely make my trips extremely richer, fun and more interesting! Well.. last year, I went on a new way to do that: I met Airbnb, which I consider an even more special way to stay somewhere, as you, once again, save a lot of money, meet new people, new cultures, new ways of living, but now, you feel like you are living at the place, as you're staying in a house! The few times I used this service were just amazing! And well... I guess I'm finally ready for the next step: Couchsurfing! I think this is gonna be an amazing way to save even more money, making it possible for me to travel when I wouldn't be able to, if I had to pay for my stay, besides "living the place" and getting to know locals!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I went to Mexico for a music show in 2011, I'm not sure how, I lost my passport there and I had to stay in the country for like more than one more week to solve the problem and get on the plane to come back home. As I was running out of money, I had to leave the hotel I was in and I met my first hostel ever! This was one of the best experiences I have ever had, I had never thought I could make such great new friends from other countries and cultures this way!
