About Me
If I were a figure of speech, I would be an oxymoron. I can use critical thinking skills to solve complex problems, but I routinely have to cheat on crossword puzzles. I read various dictionaries and textbooks while watching It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
I'm also lazy most of the time, but I have spurts of focus and unfettered drive that get me through life. Two people could know me for years and get into a fight over whether I'm crazy proactive or the laziest person on Earth.
This isn't limited to my mind; my body is a contradiction as well. I remember my sister trying to explain my stomach: "It's like fat but muscley. It's like a pot belly with a six-pack built in....I don't know; it's just weird as f*ck." That's me!
I like to experience new things -- good and bad. After all, I don't know if it's bad until I try it...except for butt stuff -- butt stuff is always bad!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm 26 years old and I've experienced nothing. My life is boring and mundane. It's not how I expected it to go. I'm not where I expected to be at this age.
I expected to have already explored much of the world by now, but I've never been outside the southwest. Being a student has held me back until now. Now I want to get out there and see how others live around the world. I need a paradigm shift!
Interests
I like boring stuff like history and sociopolitical systems. I'm also big on charity and the environment. All of these interests lead me toward wanting to experience the world.
Oh yeah, and I like big butts and I cannot lie.
Music, Movies, and Books
I like R&B, soul, and socially conscious rap. I'm open to other things, though. I listen to Celine Dion alone in my car sometimes. No, I'm not gay.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Nothing. This is the reason I want to explore the world.
Teach, Learn, Share
Most of what I know people find boring and/or off putting. Hopefully, the life experience I gain from couchsurfing will open my mind to more universally palatable interests.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my life's experiences (the few I have). If someone is interested, I can also share my knowledge of, or take on, sociopolitical systems. Unfortunately, that's all I have to offer.
