About Me

Hey! I'm a twenty-two year old philosophy student from Worcestershire, England. I normally study in Colchester, Essex on the east coast of England but i'm currently on Erasmus for the year in Nijmegen, Netherlands. In my spare time i like exploring and being creative with my friends and family, i'm a huge fan of music and film, and try to live by the motto of trying anything once :-)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In the summer of 2015 myself and three of my friends that i play in a band with hitchhiked around Europe for 27 days, couch surfing the whole way. What initially started as a way to save money became one of the best and most (for lack of a better term) enlightening trips ever, genuinely meeting some of the interesting and selfless people i have ever met. I love engaging with people from all walks of life and feel like couch surfing is one of the most exciting ways to do so :)

Interests

I'm of course interested in everything most people are such as exploration, music, film and literature etc. I travelled Europe with my band (sssourrr.bandcamp.com) which i play drums in, making music is absolutely one of my favourite things to do and am especially interested in unorthodox instruments and ways of making music. I have a keen interest in discussing philosophy, politics and things within that nature, especially with those who i don't share the same views as, as it is super easy to fall into an ignorant state of mind. I love discussing film and television, especially checking out documentaries because, who doesn't love a good documentary?! I've been vegetarian for coming on 5 years and absolutely love cooking and sharing recipes :)

Music, Movies, and Books

my main loves lie in the genres of Punk, Rock, Emo, Metal, Hip-Hop, Indie and everything in between. Some dance music and some pop music. Music is my favourite thing ever, so I will give anything a listen.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hitchhiked and couch surfed from Amsterdam through seven different countries ending at Prague with 3 of my friends from university :-)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'd like to think i'm a polite and respectful person who is always willing to help out wherever it may be, i love doing things i've never done and will talk to anyone. When i'm back in England i can provide a floor to sleep on and someone to discuss anything with. I can show you around Colchester/London and my university which was famous in the 1980's for it's radical political activity. I also live super close to a really beautiful village that's by some docks called Wivenhoe :)

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, England, Germany, Ireland, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Wales
