ABOUT ME

Hey everyone, I'm Marcus, I'm 23 years old and I just finished my bachelor's thesis. In order to see other way more interesting things than tons of books and the library, I'm getting ready for a HUGE trip, which will take my around the entire world. Since I love to meet new people and to learn about their lifestyle, culture, FOOD,.... maybe I'll meet you!!! In addition, I'd like to share my experiences and culture. So I'm already curious to have some great moments!

I really like to travel and spend some time in other countries. On the other side, I'd like to show people around in Berlin. I'm sure there are sides of the city that I don't know either.
Having a good discussion with people is always a good thing.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

just started the adventure of my lifetime...and as far as right now, couchsurfing has become my FAVORITE way of travelling!!! honestly, I can't imagine travelling the "ordinary" way, as I would certainly miss so many things...

- cheese (especially french, as I lived for half a year in Paris =)

Music, Movies, and Books

When it comes to music, I like rock, indie, electro, gypsy + eastern european, salsa, sometimes classical music. So, I'm more or less open-minded.
Movies are a bit more complicated, but I liked for example The Lord of the Rings, Amélie, Whatever works, Big Fish, DaVinci Code,2 days in Paris,.... there just has to be something intriguing.
I like to read A LOT, so as I wrote my thesis about Maupassant, I love his novels and short stories, but I also like Oscar Wilde's Portrait of Dorian Grey, Martin Suter's novels, Albert Camus' plays... this list will be endless

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

spending 10 days camping in the norwegian wilderness in summer 2009 (although there, it felt almost like winter), but it was worth it, the nature was incredibly astonishing!!!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd love to share some cooking experience! I'm convinced that preparing a meal together is already so much fun and eating even more -> lots of interesting conversations about a huge variety of topics can be the result...
