About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To boldly go where few Jamaicans have gone before :p
ABOUT ME
I'm a man of many faces.... i'm a writer, videographer, traveller, designer and a people person. I've lived in the U.S, Japan and the Caribbean, so I'm pretty internationally minded and (I like to think) culturally aware. I wrote a few books "Sex, Drugs & Jerk Chicken", "Naked As The Day" and "Berlin Vanilla", (yes, they are awesome :) ) I have a youtube channel highlighting many of my travels and adventures online, so check that out if it tickles your fancy. I'm pretty much an open book. If you see me, say hello.
PHILOSOPHY
No regrets.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It is always a pleasure to meet new people from different places around the world with good vibes and if I can provide a place for a person to sleep and feel comfortable, I will!
Interests
I'm a filmmaker and visual artist. I see the world creatively and openly within reason :p
I'm pretty passionate about photography and I am seen around town quite often with my camera. I love lifestyle and in-the-moment photos. I also like figuring out ways to do things faster and more effeciently, and i've applied this to language study and in my writing and the way I implement some of my social media strategies
I'm also a bit addicted to running, so kudos if you run as well!!

Music, Movies, and Books
When I'm relaxing I always listen to deep house. I can't really handle much else. I have naturally high energy so I don't need to be at home couch diving into the yard! But i'm open to most forms of music, obviously reggae and dancehall plus various kinds of EDM. I love live music as well and fiddle with instruments from time to time.
My favourite movie was Contact starring Jodie Foster. The film always moves me; her authenticity in acting and how the conveyed a character with so much focus. and drive. But recently films have been excellent so I might have new favourites! Loved Birdman with Michael Keaton and also the Theory of Everything.
In terms of books... one of my all time favourite books is "Kitchen" by Banana Yoshimoto. I read it before I went to Japan and like the movie "Lost in Translation" it was my first 'real' introduction to aspects of Japan I didn't know, and always sits with me for that reason. I've read too many books to list them here, but that is a standout book for me.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Chased Natalie Portman alongside some paparazzi at the Cannes Film Festival, saying "Natalie Portman! Natalie Portman!" in a fake English accent.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I've written several books and also taught myself many skills including graphic design, film editing and language learning. I'm happy to share the methods I used to learn these things!
